The Williams Education Fund (WEF) generates over $18 million in annual giving support for student-athlete scholarships and athletics department operational needs. Williams Fund has over 4,000 annual members consisting of alumni, season ticket holders and friends of the program. The Gift Administrator is responsible for processing gifts to the Williams Education Fund pledges and donations as well as assisting with special events, preparing files for deposits to KU Endowment, and coordinating book transfers of funds. This position also creates and manages the Williams Fund annual budget, and approves invoices and expense reports.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
Gift and data processing experience or equivalent work experience in a computerized records management;
Demonstrated proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.);
Advanced understanding of office methods, procedures, practices, and bookkeeping or accounting knowledge;
Ability to exercise good judgment, confidentiality, and discretion;
Ability to work well both independently and in collaboration with staff as a team member;
Experience in dealing with the public while providing exceptional customer service;
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment;
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working regularly and collaboratively with university and/or college departments and staff;
Knowledge of fundraising principles;
Demonstrated proficiency in PACFund software or similar system;
Experience with using and updating Adobe Acrobat documents.
