Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a NCAA Division 1 and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Manager of ecommerce/CRM to aid in day-to-day operations around our eCommerce revenue generation channels and lead in our CRM daily activities. From an eCommerce side they will look for ways to improve and personalize our customers experience and journeys, while on the customer relationship management (CRM) side aid in assisting the sales and retention team to maximize new business and retention of those already in our database.
Responsible for writing compelling marketing and promotional materials for any ticket sales and service campaigns
Aid in implementing CRM best practices, while continuing to learn effective ways to use CRM
Build sales automation sequences from start to finish in Outreach
Any eCommerce initiative whether point person or assisting provide reporting metrics to determine success rates
Transform reporting metrics into actionable insights and proposed next steps for leadership review
Assist in creation, planning and launching of revenue generating web pages
Aid in the creation, maintenance and analysis of our Nittany Lion Feedback Program and membership
Work with internal groups on segmentation and timing and short/long-term planning initiatives for revenue generating campaigns
Collaborate to help drive internal conversation and timelines are met
Assist in segmentation, copywriting, design, analysis and lead generation
Develop and manage the demand generation pipeline with a specific emphasis on marketing qualified leads (MQLs) across multiple platforms (Ticketmaster, Salesforce, Outreach, SSB, etc.)
Assist with Salesforce APIs where needed
Accountable to track performance and revenue for all leads and email campaign efforts
Continue to identify industry trends and how they related back to Penn State Athletics
Work with leadership to always review and assess current and prospective program enhancements to better our Penn State experience for our fans
Experience that demonstrates a knowledge around sales and service, preferably in the sports industry and also with Microsoft Products, Email Marketing Platforms (Eloqua), CRM platforms (Salesforce), solicitation platforms (Outreach), is preferred. This position has a performance-based compensation plan.
Typically requires a Bachelors degree or higher plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Due to the financial and fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
