Job Summary: The Youth Services Specialist is a senior staff member providing services, benefits, and assessing the needs of Youth coaches in the United States. This individual works closely with Youth coaches to better coaching positions and unity within their states.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Collaborate with all appropriate internal departments • Develop and maintain relationships with the US Youth Soccer, State Youth Activities Associations, and Youth Soccer Coaches Associations • Advocate legislation on issues important to youth coaches • Produce surveys to collect data on Youth coaches’ needs • Build community and mentoring programs to highlight Youth coaches • Contribute to Membership by: -Increasing membership of Youth coaches annually -Increasing member benefits and resources for Youth coaches -Creating member packages to connect with emerging professionals and partners
Essential Functions: Develop and enhance targeted, valuable, and relevant educational content for Youth coaches to earn a Youth Certification Diploma and relevant education. Use internal Awards and Rankings programming to honor and to increase participation by converting non-member Youth coaches. Assist with the Youth advocacy programs and committees. Develop Standard Operating Procedures and standard presentation slides for marketing purposes.
Working Conditions: Most work is of a sedentary nature, sitting at a desk using a computer, phone and other office equipment. Work may require attendance at performances and other company events. While a majority of work occurs in relation to a long-term plan, this position will be required to be flexible to changing priorities and additional projects that can require additional hours worked and the ability to manage short-term deadlines. This position is in Kansas City, Missouri and does not qualify for remote work.
Performance Measures: The following are key items utilized to evaluate performance of the work: •Management of and adherence to internal control procedures. •Timeliness and accuracy of data reporting and analysis. •Annual increases in Youth coach memberships. •Effective working relationship with all divisions. •Overall increase of awareness and offerings made to Youth coaches.
Bachelor’s degree business administration or closely related field
Three to five years of experience in Youth coaching and advocacy
Salesforce experience preferred
Ability to collaborate with staff, professional colleagues, and supporters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft office (including; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
Strong problem solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multitasking skills
