Bellarmine University Athletics welcomes applications for a new Assistant Director of NCAA Compliance position responsible for assisting the administration with the ongoing efforts of the compliance program and managing all associated risks. Candidate is responsible for assisting the Associate Director of Athletics for NCAA Compliance with the administration of a comprehensive compliance program that includes rules education, monitoring, reporting and general support of the compliance efforts of student-athletes, staff and external constituents.
This position will:
Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
Monitor institutional recruiting systems.
Monitor institutional playing seasons.
Prepare initial eligibility academic evaluations.
Assist compliance educational efforts of student-athletes, coaches, staff and supporters of the university.
Work in conjunction with the Office of Financial Aid to monitor, track, and distribute athletics aid and National Letter of Intents.
Prepare multiple reports for senior athletic department staff and senior university officials to review.
Prepare and execute paperwork as needed regarding student-athlete amateurism status.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics, Associate Athletic Director for NCAA Compliance or Deputy Director of Athletics.
Some nights and weekends are required to assist with athletic department events/special projects.
Successful job candidates much posses the following:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (masters preferred)
One or more years of NCAA athletic compliance at an NCAA Division I institution, conference office, or NCAA national office
Must have a strong working knowledge of the policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the NCAA
Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
Experience with NCAA Compliance Assistant software, and ARMS Software or equivalent software system is preferred
Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
