Wisconsin Lutheran College, a NCAA III member of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and offering 20 varsity sports, is seeking qualified applicants for its Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant position. The position is a two-year appointment, beginning July 1, 2022 or immediately after the candidate is hired.
The graduate assistant will assist the Director of Athletic Communications with the promotion and publicity of the college’s 20 varsity sports. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Writing and editing press releases and games stories; Producing game programs; Managing content on WLC’s athletics website (WLCSports.com); Managing content for WLC’s athletics social media channels; Compiling in-game statistics; Producing interview and highlight videos; Facilitate with setup and takedown of equipment; Managing home game events; Athletics building supervision; Operating computer programs including Adobe Creative Suite and NCAA LiveStats.
Bachelor’s degree and admission into Wisconsin Lutheran College’s (WLC) Master of Arts in Education graduate program; Programs include High Performance Instruction; Leadership and Innovation; Special Education Leadership; or Transition to a New Career in Teaching; Previous work in a collegiate sports information office is preferred; Experience and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and NCAA LiveStats is essential.
$17,500 stipend and meal stipend included.
