Associate Director of Athletics for Business Operations
Location: Dudley, Massachusetts
This is a full-time, twelve (12) month exempt position. The position is responsible for the financial management of the Athletic Department in addition to serving as a sport administrator for selected intercollegiate sports.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the financial operations of the Athletic Department. Maintain daily oversight of the Athletic Departments financial reporting, budgeting, reconciling, and purchasing functions. Work collaboratively with the Finance Office staff in the areas of accounting, budget management and accounts payable. Oversee the completion of all mandated financial reports, such as the EADA report. Approve and track all financial transactions within the Athletic Department and identify and/or forecast any discrepancies. Develop strategies for future budget models and identify cost savings measures, where applicable. Organize all team travel (transportation, hotels, per diem). Assist in the coordination of all Human Resources activities, such as recruitment, onboarding, posting of open positions and the processing of part-time and full-time personnel. Serve as the sports administrator for selected intercollegiate programs. Work with coaches to develop programs, serve as a sounding board for student-athletes, mediate student-athlete/coach matters, and work with coaches on program operations (i.e. game scheduling, travel, recruiting).
