The Sr. Director/Assistant AD Annual Fund* is a new position that will serve as a key member of the development team for Kansas Athletics by providing leadership and direction for the annual fund, including the development and implementation of a new philanthropic giving initiative. This position oversees the comprehensive strategy for acquisition, retention, growth and stewardship of annual fund supporters. This position manages a team of full-time staff members responsible for all aspects of annual fund activities, including execution of the annual fund drive and philanthropic giving initiative, as well as oversight of priority seating/parking benefits. This individual is tasked with increasing transactional giving while also enhancing philanthropic fundraising efforts of Kansas Athletics.
*Note: This position will be filled at the Development Officer, Associate Development Director or Development Director level, commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; • A minimum of three years’ experience in development or closely related field; • Minimum one-year experience leading and developing staff; • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to initiate, analyze, monitor, evaluate and advance strategic plans and programs that support the Williams Education Fund mission; • Knowledge and/or experience with marketing segmentation; • Exceptional people skills with the ability to build consensus among team members; • Outstanding skills in written, oral and interpersonal communication; • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment; and • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university; • Experience with FanOne, Fanbase, FanThreeSixty (or comparable software), Paciolan, Advance and Salesforce.
