Reporting directly to the Director of Football Equipment Operations, the Assistant Director of Football Equipment Operations will work in collaboration with Equipment, Football Operations, Recruiting, Sports Medicine, Strength & Conditioning, Creative, and Facilities departments. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent time management skills and priority setting skills, proficient communication skills (both written and verbal), great utilization of Microsoft Office, able to develop and implement improvements to move the department forward, highly thorough and dependable while maintain a high degree of professionalism, must display discretion and integrity and possess strong leadership skills, possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and provide a positive example to student-athletes by supporting the Mission Statement of the USC Athletics Department. Knowledge of and experience working in higher education preferred. Understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes preferred.

Roles and responsibilities to include:
Oversees and participates in the daily operation of the athletic equipment room.
Oversees daily laundering of player loops, coaches/staff loops, uniforms and towels
Responds to requests from coaches for equipment/uniform needs.
Ability to obtain AEMA certification with the first year of employment and maintain certification annually.
Maintains an accurate athletic inventory control using Front Rush System and adheres to NCAA, Pac 12 and institutional guidelines and policies.
Responsible for the distribution and collection of athletic equipment, uniforms and supplies.
Equipment repair and modifications.
Daily practice set-up/break-down
Organize and monitor transportation of equipment for home and away games, including Bowl games and postseason event.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director of Equipment

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
3-5 years of full-time experience at the collegiate (preferably Division 1) or professional level preferred. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
Strong desire to pursue a career in the field of equipment management.
Certified Athletic Equipment Manager (or able to receive AEMA certification within 1 year)
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Front Rush
Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related field ideal.
