Chief Objective of Position: This position provides an essential role in the Department of Athletics by performing duties in the treatment and prevention of injury of Christopher Newport University athletes. Work Tasks: 1.Provide preventative and diagnostic care for Football and Men’s Basketball teams. 2.Provides medical assistance for University athletes; make necessary referrals for athletes to various health care providers. 3.Coordinates chain of care for injured student athletes form time of injury through return to play. 4.Assists athletic training leadership in coordination of concussion management protocols. 5.Provides leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student athletes at Christopher Newp
