Serve as the facility operations and maintenance point of contact for Rynearson Stadium, Oestrike Stadium, Scicluna Field, St. Joe’s Sports Dome and Bowen Fieldhouse.
Submit and manage work orders with Physical Plant for all athletic facilities.
Direct and coordinate all aspects of game operations for all varsity athletics events.
Develop current and long-range plans to ensure the efficient maintenance and operation of athletic facilities.
Help develop a comprehensive facilities master plan for the division of athletics.
Oversee the proper use and maintenance of grounds equipment.
Manage operation of all electronic media tables, scoreboards, communication systems and clocks in all athletic facilities.
Hire, train and supervise staff and students on all aspects of game operations and facility management.
Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations and operational procedures.
Perform related departmental duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree in sports management or related field is required.
A minimum of three (3) years directly-related experience involving athletic facilities, operations, athletic game management, and athletic grounds maintenance is required.
Working knowledge of NCAA and MAC rules and regulations as related to facilities and events management is required.
Knowledge of appropriate facilities and event set-up for basketball, volleyball and football is required.
Knowledge and ability to set-up, test and perform basic troubleshooting of electronic equipment as it relates to athletic game operations including but not limited to scoreboards, communication devices, and electronic media tables is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of University and NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Must be able to work flexible hours including night and weekends.
