FSU boasts 22 varsity sports (10 men/12 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct coordination and supervision over the weight room and fitness areas and all programs administered in these areas in the absence of the director;
• Assist the Director with the all aspects of a NCAA Division II Strength & Conditioning Program.
• Design, Implement, and Evaluate the strength and conditioning programs for athletic teams assigned to the candidate.
• Provide structure, supervision and mentoring to interns and graduate assistants working with the athletic teams in the area of strength and conditioning;
• Provide structure, supervision and mentoring to work-study students;
• Interact and address concerns brought forth by faculty members instructing in these areas;
• Responsible to ensure the safety, cleanliness and customer relations associated with running this area;
• Administer all NCAA rules associated with athletic related activities specific to this area.
• Other assigned work-related duties.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree.  National Strength and Conditioning Association - CSCS Certification or related certification.  Two to three years previous experience in strength and conditioning.

Preferred Qualifications:  Master’s Degree and three to five years of strength and conditioning experience.  Collegiate experience.
