Kansas Athletics is seeking an Assistant Director to join the Facilities and Events crew! This position is an integral role, responsible for assisting the leaders with the operations and capital project activities for Kansas Athletics, working with 3rd party vendors to facilitate, coordinate, organize, schedule and supervise to ensure smooth game management operations. This includes: facility preparation, coordinating special events, staging athletic events, collaborating with internal units/departments, serving as game manager for assigned games, and more!
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university;
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in relevant intercollegiate or municipal athletics setting;
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines;
Able to communicate well in written, oral and interpersonal communication;
Ability to multi-task, detail-orientated and ability to work with a diverse group of staff members;
• Ability and willingness to work an irregular schedule including, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Master’s degree in related field;
Previous Division I intercollegiate athletic experience in Facilities/Events.
