Case Western Reserve University, a member of the University Athletic Association, is seeking applicants for the position of Facilities Coordinator. Working under moderate supervision, the facilities coordinator primarily serves facility users including the general student population, student athletes and teams that make use of the Athletic and Recreation facilities on the north side of campus. Duties include equipment inventory, oversight of the Wyant Athletic and Wellness Center as well as set-up and take-down of athletic events which involves some night and weekend hours. Supervise the work of student employees on the north side.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage equipment inventory and maintain records for all varsity teams. Store, inventory, distribute, collect and repair equipment for varsity teams. Items include laundry loops, practice gear, uniforms and game equipment. Adept with use of inventory software. (25%)
Schedule and oversee the work of student employees, specifically for the equipment room and Wyant. Provide recommendations for Wyant facility staffing and operations to improve service. Adept with use of scheduling software. (25%)
Manage operations at the Wyant Athletic and Wellness Center weight room and events at the Wyant Varsity Club. (15%)
Perform fall, winter and spring sport field event set-up and take-down for varsity sports as well as game day event management. Provide assistance with other special events as assigned. (15%)
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to effectively interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.
Ability to meet consistent attendance.
Ability to lift and move athletic equipment as necessary.
Should possess computer skills; e.g., Microsoft Office.
