The Athletics Administrative Specialist position provides support for several of our sports programs and our student development unit in an effort to achieve operational excellence. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Supporting assigned sport programs by preparing travel reimbursements, reconciling credit card logs, building game contracts, providing general correspondence and assisting with other essential tasks.
Supporting our student development unit by maintaining the student travel calendar, helping with the hourly worker hiring process, assisting with the ACC awards submission process, performing data entry and maintenance, running daily data reports, managing space reservations and other tasks as assigned.
Performing receptionist duties (including managing conference room calendars) and providing exemplary customer service to internal and external constituencies.
Providing support as assigned for various projects and departmental priorities.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $40,000 - $45,000, dependent upon qualifications.
Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's Degree (or higher) preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one year of prior experience in an administrative support position is required, two or more years' experience is preferred. Experience in collegiate athletics is highly preferred. Prior experience providing executive-level administrative support and experience coordinating travel arrangements are also preferred.
Computer Applications: Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is required. Experience with Workday, DocuSign, Qualtrics and Apple operations systems preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Strong attention to detail. Ability to present a professional demeanor while delivering a high level of internal and external customer service. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creativity and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of office practices and procedures. Ability to utilize office equipment, facilities and materials needed to complete assigned tasks. Ability to prepare reports, handle information requests and perform general administrative functions. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Adherence to University policies for purchasing card. Ability to handle duties that require researching and collecting information.
