Under the general supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Sports Administration, manage overall day-to-day operations for assigned UW-Madison Division I intercollegiate sport programs. Work closely with head coaches and support staff to elevate the lives of Badger student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations. Duties include: assisting in the day-to-day operations of multiple sport offices; developing annual budgets; ordering supplies and equipment; coordinating travel; assisting with game/practice and facility schedules; serving as a liaison with compliance office ensuring adherence to Big Ten and NCCA rules; serving as a liaison with outside partners such as Anthony Travel, Food & Beverage, Hotel; and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Three or more years of intercollegiate athletics experience is preferred
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and details effectively, while meeting established deadlines
The ability to effectively work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ARMS and Teamworks preferred
An understanding of NCAA, Big Ten and University rules and regulations is preferred
Ability to work nights and weekends, and travel as needed, from August through May.
Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
