LCS is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Director of Marketing and Sales to join our team in the San Fernando Valley area of the City of Los Angeles The Director of Marketing Sales is responsible for planning, developing, directing and coordinating of all aspects of marketing and sales of the independent living residences. Responsibilities include overseeing, directing, and managing team performance as well as the managing the lead generation program, including advertising, referral development and event programs.
This new Life Plan/CCRC is scheduled to open in August 2028. It will be located in a very desirable area on a site that has open areas for walking, outdoor sports, gardening and the preservation of large beautiful valley oak trees.

Responsible for meeting personal and team performance goals by managing sales activity to ensure sales and closing goals are met
Uses Direct Sales Performance Indicators (DSPI) to set goals and diagnose areas of strength or needed improvement
Plans, develops and executes all aspects of community independent living occupancy development, including annual marketing planning, in collaboration with LCS Senior Housing Marketing and Sales team members
Fully executes the sales, marketing, referral and advertising objectives and strategies as outlined in the annual marketing plan
Develops and manages the Promotion and Sales budget
Ensures timely and accurate input as appropriate into LCS Salesforce and C3LinC or other community specific systems
Maintains effective communication with the Executive Director and other leadership team members
Ensures that all prospect inquiries are managed and that timely follow through is maintained in accordance with designated time frames
Supervises the performance of Residency Counselors, Marketing Assistant and other team members and actively engages in coaching activities to enhance team performance
Staffs the office to meet business needs which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Prepares and maintains accurate and timely reports as required
Implements Life Care Services Extraordinary Impressions best practices in the marketing office and influences hospitality focused environment throughout the community.
Promotes LCS Signature Services in the sales process including Extraordinary Impressions, HeartFelt Connections, Health & Wellness Navigation and EverSafe 360°
A Bachelor’s degree
Two years sales experience or public relations experience necessary, preferably in the Senior Housing industry
Strong sales management experience in a Life Plan/CCRC or Senior Living Independent Living homes
Supervisory experience and/or capability
Knowledge & Skills:
Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate and present in person, in writing, and on the telephone. Must be an effective presenter with both large and small groups.
Skill in use of computer software including Microsoft Office applications
Must be able to generate a warm, friendly and caring manner on first impression
Maintains working knowledge of regulations that impact the industry
Experience developing/maintaining a department budget
