The Coordinator for Game Day Operations, Facilities and Athletic special events reports to the Sr. Associate Director of Athletics for Athletics Operations, the Coordinator is responsible for the management, preparation and coordination of game day activities, facilities and related Athletic Special Events.
Home Game Management-coordinates and assists student workers in preparation of home games/special events Coordinates student employment for athletics including scheduling, supervision, and payroll. Oversee the maintenance of University “all athletic” fields and facilities. Coordinate all work orders with building and grounds on all athletic facilities maintenance for all Athletics fields and Hubbell Gymnasium. Manages athletic equipment including uniform inventory, issue and laundry. Supervises student employees in the equipment room. Will assist the Sr. Associate Director of Athletics for Athletics Operations in running the annual Athletics Golf Tournament and Athletics Hall of Fame Awards Dinner. Other duties and projects as assigned by the Sr. Associate Director of Athletics for Athletic Operations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the University’s Athletics programs. Ability to explain and interpret policies and procedures. Proficient computer skills; ability to compile information into report form. An effective team-player Excellent conflict resolution skills Confidence in using own initiative and judgment to organize, administer, and communicate (oral and written) to follow through independently on assigned tasks Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Professional oral and written skills Able to organize and process information quickly and accurately Able to prioritize multiple tasks
Bachelor’s degree required; previous experience working in a collegiate athletic facilities or equipment room management preferred.
Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse populations including students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies.
Evening and weekend hours required.
