This position will be under the general supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director/Events & Facilities and will be responsible for the daily operations of athletic department facilities. In addition, this position will also be responsible for coordinating assigned athletic events. The employee will supervise and be responsible for the necessary work involved in the care, preventative maintenance, repair, improvements, renovations and operation of gymnasiums, playing fields, two large multi-purpose buildings, synthetic turf fields, stadiums, and other athletic areas. These areas are used for a variety of events, such as physical education classes, intramural sports, ISU athletic events, sport camps, conferences, receptions, banquets, etc.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, Two or more years of full time or part time equivalent experience in building management, project management or facility/event operations.
Desired Qualifications: Three years supervisory experience in the operations of events in public assembly facilities, athletic facilities, and/or athletic fields. Knowledge of facility, athletic, recreational, entertainment, and public assembly functions. General demonstrable skills in mechanical and electronic fields. Experience in administration and planning of various events. Skill in use of specialized tools and maintenance equipment used in the operation of public assembly facilities, athletic facilities, and fields. Experience in personnel supervision, crowd control, and OHSA rules and procedures. Ability to review and analyze existing systems, operational procedures and equipment and recommend changes and/or additions to improve efficiency. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Demonstrated ability to communicate with coaches, staff and external constituents. Master’s degree in related field.
Work Hours: Core work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., nights and weekends frequently required
Functional Expectations Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: 1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods 2. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work. 3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis. 4. Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate: $38,000-$42,000 annually
