The Assistant Director of Marketing, reporting to the Assistant AD of Marketing & Fan Experience, will have responsibilities related to all of the University of South Carolina’s 21 varsity sports. They will have direct oversight of softball, equestrian and other sports as needed. For their respective sports, this position will assist in promoting a positive image for intercollegiate athletics, maintaining and increasing ticket sales and creating, implementing and executing various game day promotions.
This position will also have oversight of all marketing related to the Gamecock Club and Development offices. They will oversee the primary day to day communications of the Gamecock Club and Development Offices including social media, email, written and mail publications. They will be responsible for writing, editing and designing various collateral for the Gamecock Club and Development offices. They will also be responsible for producing content for numerous social media platforms. As part of this oversight, this position will oversee the Junior Gamecock Club program. Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Department.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree + 1 year experience in marketing in a college athletics department.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with full time marketing at a Division I college athletics program is strongly preferred.
