Business and Project Manager / Assistant to the Executive Director of Athletics

The Business and Project Manager will coordinate best practices specific to committees, projects, and initiatives as assigned by the Executive Director of Athletics. Works collaboratively with and assists members of the Athletic Leadership Team in budgeting, policy and procedure development and tracking, compliance, event management, day to day operations, athletic fundraising, annual events and office management.
Responsibilities include: •Manage new and on-going department-wide initiatives independently or in collaboration with the Athletic Leadership Team that advance Departmental objectives as assigned by the Director. •Assist the Director with the establishment of strategic priorities and project scope, coordinates collective efforts for implementation. •Perform day to day business office functions for the Athletic department, including assisting with budget preparation, tracking, and reconciliation. •Assist with the development and implementation of athletics policies and procedures; ensures compliance with institutional policies. •Assist with student-athlete initial and continuing eligibility. •Provide secondary support for event management. •Coordinate athletic development fundraising stewardship initiatives. •Assist with special annual events and championship opportunities when presented. •Serve as liaison and point of contact/interaction with students, faculty, families, as well as external agencies and affiliate organizations. Assess inquires directed to the department and staff, determines and communicates the appropriate course of action. Oversees the processing of documents for signature approval.
Bachelor's degree required in Athletic Administration, Physical Education, Sport Management, Business or related field with 1-3 years of work-related experience.

Intermediate and advanced proficiency working in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Experience with Google (Drive, email).
Occasional evening, holiday, or weekend work required for College events, championships or annual events.
