Augustana University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director of Athletics Administration in our Athletics Department.
The Assistant Director of Athletics Administration is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Athletic Compliance Office and overall administration.
The duties, competencies, and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
•Assist with the development and implementation of rules education for coaches, student-athletes, parents, university staff, and boosters to ensure compliance with NCAA, NSIC, and CCHA rules and regulations. •Ability to organize and interpret bylaws and policies. •Review and approve official/unofficial visits for prospective student-athletes. •Assist with maintaining all compliance software, including by not limited to NCAA Compliance Assistant and ARMS Compliance Software. •Assist in tracking NCAA initial eligibility and Augustana Admissions status for all incoming student-athletes. •Assists with institutional monitoring of the National Letter of Intent (NLI’s) and athletic tender agreements. •Tracks and monitors all countable athletic related activity. •Oversee complimentary tickets for game day. •Serve and help with event management when and where it’s needed •Manage day-to-day athletic office operations •Ability to communicate effectively with coaches, student-athletes, and other members of the University community •Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends.
•A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. •A master’s degree is preferred. •One-year experience in an athletic compliance setting at an institutional, conference, or national association level/ relevant work experience is preferred. Graduate assistant experience will be considered.
