The Assistant Athletic Director Annual Giving is responsible for the management and development of strategic annual giving programs. The annual giving program will be strategically designed to foster year-round donor interaction and philanthropy. Through relationship-driven techniques with internal and external stakeholders, this position will provide and execute a roadmap to increase engagement, retention and acquisition and provide fundraising support for the university's development program.
* Oversees and executes comprehensive year-round annual giving programs for athletics that involve identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual gifts from alumni, faculty and staff, parents, friends, and corporations. * Works closely with the Athletics Chief Development Officer, annual giving office, development leadership, and University partners to develop and implement innovative, and data-driven marketing campaigns to drive philanthropic messaging, enthusiasm, and engagement to help expand a sustainable Panther Club donor base. * Oversees athletic fundraising events by conceptualizing and delivering strategic events that will increase annual giving and retention through their experiences. * Collaborates with other members of the athletic development team, University development team, athletic department, and the University at-large, as well as with external groups and organizations. Partner with major gift officers, alumni relations, and donor relations to design engagement plans for prospects at all stages of the donor cycle. * Develops, implements, and manages a strategic annual work plan/matrix of their annual giving portfolio: alumni, current donors, season ticket holders, and FIU affinity prospects. * Provides strategic thinking on all areas of the donor experience, including gift acceptance and management, recognition programming, donor audience segmentation and behavior-based recognition societies. Works in partnership with Donor Relations and Stewardship, acknowledge gifts to the FIU Foundation. * Develops and implements an annual giving communications plan inclusive of social media sites, annual reports, impact reports, email blasts, endowment reports, gift acknowledgments, web pages, ThankView videos, invitations, newsletters, fundraising campaign materials, collateral, donor, and student-athlete alumni feature articles and press releases. * Attends and interacts with donors and prospective donors at Panther Club events and athletic competitions. * Presents the college's financial needs and funding goals articulately, persuasively, and with confidence. * Participates in and adheres to university-wide prospect management guidelines and protocols for cultivation and stewardship of donors and prospects. Complies with University policies and meets minimum performance standards as well as achieves annual established goals. * Utilizes CRM to enter notes and update giving bio, while maintaining strict confidentiality, as well as tracking metrics for strategic fundraising purposes
Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience related to community relations, not for profit, fundraising environment and/or related organization with two (2) years of experience in annual giving/ fundraising.
