Provide executive administrative support to the Director of Athletics and other athletics executive team members on occasion. Fulfill all administrative functions for the Director of Athletics including travel, correspondence, scheduling and meeting arrangements. Communicate on behalf of the Director of Athletics as directed. This position supports activities to ensure a highly complex schedule of daily activities are well executed. This position will interact on a regular basis with visitors to the Director of Athletics' office, Institute executives, alumni, corporate executives, donors, student athletes, Athletics coaches and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel Athletics leadership staff.
Serve as primary scheduler and point of contact with the Georgia Tech campus and external community on the Director of Athletics' behalf.
Maintain the Director of Athletics' calendar and keep Director of Athletics informed as appropriate regarding upcoming appointments, meeting, events, etc.
Make travel arrangements on behalf of the Director of Athletics to include transportation and overnight accommodations; prepare and update itineraries.
Expedites incoming and outgoing correspondence, coordinate signatures, redistribution and follow-up as appropriate.
Prepare correspondence and presentations for the Director of Athletics, including coordination with other Athletics leaders as needed.
Assist the Director of Athletics in preparing for interactions with campus administrators, business and community leaders and donors.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Educational Requirements Technical Diploma, Associate Degree or two years college course work
Required Experience Five to seven years of job-related experience
Preferred Experience Five or more years of experience supporting a high-level executive
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
This job requires advanced knowledge and skills in executive office administration. Included are skills in organization, customer service and communications as is the use of office related and specialized computer applications.
