Reporting to the Senior Director of the Accelerator, the Innovations Marketing Operations Specialist creates and disseminates marketing and events efforts in collaboration with other BODFI staff, towards advancing the business development activities and goals of BODFI and the DFCI Accelerator. The position works closely with BODFI staff, DFCI faculty, and industrial collaborators to further the efforts of the office.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, develop, and execute BODFI hosted events and stakeholder meetings related to Business Development and Accelerator activities. This includes but is not limited to: identifying event objectives, planning and development of event concepts, successful execution of events based on well-defined timelines and budgets, ensuring event flow and logistics, and deploying pre and post event communication
Work with appropriate stakeholders at BODFI and DFCI to ensure all event related contractual activities such as vendor identification and price negotiation, contract development and closure, are executed on time and according to DFCI standards and policies
Generate event budgets, and, upon approval, manage expenditures and reporting, according to DFCI standards and policies
Contribute to the graphic design and production of BODFI marketing and communications materials such as newsletters, events announcements, requests for proposals, and website entries. This requires strong collaboration with BODFI staff to ensure alignment and inter-office efficiencies
Engage with Accelerator and BODFI Business Development leadership to provide programmatic support to large initiatives including but not limited to: Request for Proposal Launches and events involving industry or non-profit entities
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor???s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or related field required
3 years of events design and management experience required, preferably in a health care/life sciences or academic environment
Experience with office administration and program management required
Demonstrated success in planning and execution of high-profile stakeholder and industry events required
Experience in communicating with senior level leaders and C suite executives required
Experience with hiring and managing vendors for event production required
