The primary work environment for this position is in an office setting and on occasion will work in outdoor weather conditions (i.e., to attend/ assist events). The successful candidate can be expected to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time, lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc, operate a computer, printer, and phone. The incumbent in this position will frequently communicate with employees, USMA staff and vendors.

 Travel 

Occasional travel may be required.

 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or higher preferred
• Two (2) years of relevant work/ graduate program/ internship/ volunteer experience within an intercollegiate athletics department or professional team
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Project and event planning and execution experience
• Experience conducting industry research and report-writing
• Commitment to compliance with campus, conference and NCAA rules and policies
• Demonstrated initiative, well-developed problem-solving skills
• Ability to assess, prioritize and execute an array of important tasks around shared priorities
• A strong interest and commitment to pursuing a career in the profession of Intercollegiate Athletics
• Demonstrated curricular and extracurricular achievements and community involvement
• Advanced skills using all of the Microsoft Office products

• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays with some travel
