The Athletics Administration Fellow is charged with working independently as well as collaboratively on projects, events, and initiatives throughout the executive department. This individual is responsible for carrying out high level projects from initiation to completion, organizing people, information, and materials around identified outcomes; and communicating with executive staff members, coaches, cadet-athletes, and other constituents in a professional, personable, and highly respectful manner.
The primary work environment for this position is in an office setting and on occasion will work in outdoor weather conditions (i.e., to attend/ assist events). The successful candidate can be expected to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time, lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc, operate a computer, printer, and phone. The incumbent in this position will frequently communicate with employees, USMA staff and vendors.
Occasional travel may be required.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or higher preferred
Two (2) years of relevant work/ graduate program/ internship/ volunteer experience within an intercollegiate athletics department or professional team
Excellent written and communication skills
Project and event planning and execution experience
Experience conducting industry research and report-writing
Commitment to compliance with campus, conference and NCAA rules and policies
