The University of Detroit Mercy, Michigan’s largest, most comprehensive private University, is currently accepting application for the full-time position for the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Detroit Mercy is an NCAA Division I institution that sponsors 17 varsity sports that compete primarily in the Horizon League.
We are seeking a dynamic team player to join our staff that has a passion for collegiate athletics and enjoys working with student-athletes and coaches. The Director of Strength and Conditioning will develop and implement performance enhancement, conditioning, speed and agility, and strength training with an emphasis in injury prevention for all 17 sports teams.
Additionally, the Director of Strength and Conditioning will oversee one full-time staff member and one graduate assistant. All efforts will work collaboratively with our staff of Athletic trainers, team physicians & consultants with the goal of building top performing student-athletes and creating an inviting environment from a student-athlete welfare perspective.
