Ripon College, an NCAA Division III institution and member of the Midwest Conference, is seeking applications for an Athletic Director. The incoming Director will join a high-performing department of athletic coaches and staff. Reporting to the President, the Athletic Director (AD) will represent the athletic department as a member of the Administrative Council - President Folse’s executive leadership team. The AD will counsel, strategize and collaborate with Administrative Council colleagues on both the future of athletics and the institution as a whole. The AD will support the total academic program of the College by designing and administering athletic programs, policies, and services that will contribute to the education and welfare of Ripon College students.
Candidates should exhibit an appreciation for the liberal arts, possess solid oral, written and interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record in coaching and leadership development. They must model and embody a personal values system that promotes and celebrates a collaborative workplace climate that recognizes and rewards diversity, equity, and inclusion. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Division III athletics and display a passion for effectively recruiting and retaining student athletes with the capacity for academic achievement and demonstrate a commitment to student wellness.
A bachelor degree is required, with at least five years of increasingly responsible experience in college athletics or relatable experience. A successful coaching career is highly desired.
