The Assistant Athletics Director of Facilities and Equipment has the overall responsibility for direct oversight of facility maintenance and management of intercollegiate athletics facilities with emphasis on safety, functionality, presentation and ensuring that intercollegiate facilities are at or above Division I expectations. In addition, will have the responsibility of the day to day oversight of the intercollegiate athletics equipment operations and the facilities rentals. This position will operate within an atmosphere of compliance, integrity and within the scope and intent of NCAA, conference and University regulations and policy's. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive departmental facility safety plan to be revised annually as necessary. This role will be responsible for working with the intercollegiate compliance department on compliance related matters and paperwork surrounding facilities and equipment. This position will be working nights, weekends and holidays.
The budgeted hiring range for this position is $56,800-$75,000

Minimum Requirements:
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
Problem-solving skills; multi-task, work with frequent interruptions, and effective listener.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple work priorities and to plan and manage large projects and events.
Knowledge of facilities administration issues and practices.
Proficiency in the use of basic computer applications relevant to job duties.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration, relationship building, and ability to respond positively and flexibly when working with all levels in the organization and with outside parties (i.e. customers, vendors, etc.)
General knowledge of all UCR sponsored intercollegiate sports and their facility requirements. Knowledge of synthetic and natural turf.
Thorough knowledge of program activity and best practices.
Skills and experience supervising staff and student employees
Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Proven ability to perform physically demanding work, moving materials weighing up to 70 pounds to and from pickup trucks, carts, and loading docks using hand trucks, dollies, or other moving devices.
Successful experience performing all duties with the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior and in accordance with institutional and collegiate athletics program regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to utilize basic maintenance tools and field maintenance equipment.
Strong working knowledge of day to day store operations.
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in related area or equivalent combination
4 - 7 years of related experience.
Travel
The job requires the candidate to work extended hours on evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure proper supervision of all athletic events and activities scheduled in athletic facilities.
Valid Drivers License
Preferred Qualifications:
Current certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
Ability to utilize appropriate facilities and equipment room management software and applications.
Certification or willingness to undergo certification for operating a standard maintenance lift, and appropriate use of that equipment to perform tasks (i.e. signage replacement).
Turf certifications, such as Turf Grass Management, etc.
Understanding of NCAA and Big West conference rules and regulations.
Experience in general scoreboard/ public address system calibration and maintenance.
Ability to utilize equipment for athletics apparel (i.e. Washers, dryers etc.)
