The assistant director will support the University’s mission of providing high-quality education to a culturally diverse student body to prepare students for entering the global workforce, seeking higher-education opportunities, and serving within their communities. Florida Institute of Technology is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and the Sunshine State Conference (SSC).
Collaborate with the Sr. Vice President for Advancement to all athletic partnerships in prospecting and soliciting new sponsors, retaining and renewing previous sponsors, developing strong professional relationships with sponsors and activating contracted assets throughout the season.
Develops and executes all promotional elements of athletic events focused on pre-game and in-game experiences and increasing revenue and fan attendance collaborating with game operations with presentations, game scripts, coordination of music and in-game entertainment, and athletic communications staff in increasing exposure through print and electronic media.
Represents Florida Tech Athletics at local events and proactively researches and coordinates activities and events in the community to increase brand awareness of the program within the Melbourne area arranging for coaches and scholar-athletes to interact with the campus and the community.
Serves as the athletics liaison to the Panther Student Section and manages and coordinates various appearances for the university's mascot, Pete the Panther.
Coordinate and supervise promotional material distribution and serve as liaison collaborating with campus organizations and the student population to promote events and involvement.
