The Washington & Jefferson College department of athletics offers paid coaching internships to provide a hands-on learning experience with a NCAA Division III sports organization. The W&J athletic internship program is an excellent step toward a coaching career in a number of different sports. The internship provides a monthly stipend, housing, and a meal stipend. Current opportunities are available in the sports of field hockey, women's soccer and women's volleyball. The program's objective is to use the college's NCAA Division III sports to give aspiring coaches opportunities to observe, participate and gain experience to eventually become a head coach at the collegiate level.
