Job Summary
The assistant athletic director for ticket sales and operations is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating ticket sales campaigns and operations for all sports in which tickets are sold. This position will also play a key role in department efforts to enhance community relationships both on and off campus, grow attendance at sporting events and engage students.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
Manages in-house ticketing operations and sales for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics
Creates, designs, and implements ticket sales campaigns/initiatives to enhance attendance and engage the community
Develops and implements programs, policies and objectives related to ticket sales and operations
Oversees promotional and brand-enhancement efforts for game day operations related to customer experience
Identifies opportunities and coordinates promotions for local and regional groups to participate in game day activities associated with athletic events and collaborates with athletics resource development department to enhance season, single and group ticket sales
Cultivates and strengthens relationships with university student organizations and the Office of Student Life and Diversity to grow and maximize student attendance and engagement at events
Acts as the departmental liaison with the Scheidegger Center Box Office
Assists external operations staff with design, print and production of materials for sales pitches and community engagement initiatives
Assists with the fulfillment of corporate sponsorship contracts related to tickets, groups and special seating
Manages all ticket sales and operations programs for the Athletic department, including special campaigns to help drive attendance for home athletic contests
Service Excellence
Collaborates with other departments across campus to help market events
Provides leadership in community outreach efforts to promote ticket sales and department in the community
Monitors and responds to the fan community with regards to requests for schedules, ticket requests, etc.
Supports the mission of the university and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
Models, supports and holds others accountable to the university’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity and teamwork
Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration
Works with coaches, staff and administration to plan and implement ticket sales plans for individual athletic programs
Works with game operations staff to execute ticketing and marketing plans on game days
Assists department and university personnel with group night ticket sales, ticket discounts and theme night promotions to increase attendance and drive revenue
Collaborates with on-campus student organizations, campus leaders and community members to execute successful sports-related events
Job may require other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
Master’s degree in related field
Minimum 3 years’ experience in collegiate or professional athletics ticketing
Experience managing ticket operations in an intercollegiate athletics setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – May be representative, but not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform this job competently.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Ability to use graphic design programs, including Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience working in various social media channels
Intellect, insight, influence and managerial talent to plan, champion and execute the oversight of a successful athletics sales and marketing plan
