The Office Assistant is responsible for opening the Center Monday to Friday, and professionally interacting with members, staff, students and all other players. Maintain membership, financial records and support running of tournaments. Responsibilities.
Two positions available.
Positions entail non-traditional work hours.
Greet members and answer all questions and facilitate any requests from members and facility patrons.
Assist in preparation of the courts for play.
Check-in guests using membership reservation software and assign courts for players.
Utilize membership software related to court and towel rentals. Sell tennis balls. Record all transactions in a daily financial sheet.
Check petty cash at the end of the day.
Answer phones for reservation of courts, rates, membership information, directions to the center, lessons, programs available, and games to be arranged.
Input all pertinent information into the court management system.
Assist and support running tournaments held at the facility.
Responsible for member refreshments and consistent replenishment.
All work connected to sending a mailing to all members two-four times a year. Including managing mailing lists and marketing campaigns
Preparing invoices for schools, Universities and USTA who rent courts in blocks as assigned.
Prepare and update the weekly reservation screen if necessary. Keep track of seasonal reservations, block reservations and daily reservations.
Exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherence to NCAA, Ivy League Conference, University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations and/or Code of Ethics.
Contribute to the maintenance of good working relationships with all members of the Department.
Assume other duties as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency, and 3 years experience required. Bachelors Degree highly preferred.
1-3 years of experience in customer service role
Valid Drivers License

Knowledge or Tennis industry and facility operations preferred
