AUDITORIUM (BA-AUTM-IUBLA)

Known for its presentation of a wide variety of events from the latest popular concerts and Broadway attractions to university ceremonies and conference events, IU Auditorium is a 3,200-seat proscenium venue that has been a model of campus and community programming and engagement since it opened in 1941. We are excited to bring into our Auditorium family a dynamic team member who can uphold our reputation of providing expert and professional service.

Our box office is the front line of our operations. We are looking for focused, well-spoken, charismatic students to join our team.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

• Selling tickets in-person
• Processing orders
• Answering questions about events
• Providing extraordinary customer service

EDUCATION

Required

• Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred

• Sales or customer service experience.

SKILLS

Required

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of people.
• Comfortable giving phone customer service.
• Technology proficiency.
• Ability to be an outgoing and vocal presence during each orientation.

This position requires the ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time during shifts and the ability to move up to 10 pounds. This role also requires the capacity to work with other student staff members.

We are currently hiring for summer and fall positions. There is a New Student Orientation position available for the summer, inquire if you are interested.

This is a continuous year-round position.

Bloomington, Indiana

$11.00 per hour

10-20 hours per week including shifts during the day and/or evenings based on events and shows at various venues.
