The Production Specialist performs a variety of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: editing for all athletics platforms (editing would include work for live events in all sports and feature pieces for in house, television, social, and other areas within Kansas Athletics); assisting in the production of live ESPN3 broadcasts of Kansas Athletic events; potential technical directing duties for a variety of Kansas Athletics sporting events; assisting in the live production of Kansas Athletics; assisting in the video production needs of the entire athletics department; and performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletics Director- Broadcast Services.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of two years’ experience in live sports production, content creation at the university or professional sports level
Highly creative editor with experience in sports
Demonstrated editing skills and experience using professional editing software
Demonstrated experience using After Effects and Photoshop software
Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Ability to work irregular hours including nights and weekends coinciding with Athletic events throughout the year
Ability to travel frequently to provide video support to athletic teams throughout the year
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of two years’ experience in live sports production at the NCAA Division I level
Experience directing/technical directing live multi-camera sporting events
