•Create digital content for all sports housed under Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics. Collateral includes individual/team graphics, gameday graphics, motion graphics for videoboards, score graphics, marketing materials, schedule posters, media guide covers, etc. •Lead all phases of the design process and provide art direction in a way that upholds the Lenoir-Rhyne brand. Design high-quality pieces that are consistent and on-brand. •Assist the Associate AD for Athletic Communications and the Assistant Director of Digital and Creative Media with content generation and planning for all sports. •Assist the Bears Club – the fundraising arm of Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics – with graphics requests. •Serve as the primary Athletics Photographer. Conduct pre- and in-season studio promotional photoshoots, take student athlete headshots, and serve as the lead gameday photographer for all sports. Manage the Bears Sports photo database and any student photography interns. •Complete other administrative duties as assigned. •Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting project deadlines.
Knowledge of graphic design and photography
Knowledge of printing procedures and file preparation
Experience working with both studio lighting and taking action photography
Preferred experience in athletics
Ability to create a wide range of digital and print graphics
Ability to convert technical information into visually appealing graphics
Ability to stay current with new trends in the design industry
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work outside normal working hours, including nights and weekends.
Skilled in graphic design programs, i.e., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and InDesign
Lenoir-Rhyne has a rich athletic history and is coming off one of the most successful seasons ever. Nationally, the women’s soccer team advanced to a Final Four, men’s lacrosse was in an Elite 8 and volleyball made the Sweet 16. In total, 13 teams advanced to the NCAA Tournament and nine were nationally ranked. Facilities have improved dramatically over the past couple of years and an $18-million dollar upgrade to the football/lacrosse stadium will be completed over the summer. Upgrades have also recently been completed at basketball, baseball, soccer and a brand new weight room has been built with more upgrades on the horizon.
