Manages all facilities, fields, and equipment for the Football program. Oversees the equipment room, staff, volunteers, inventory, reconditioning, communication system, and ordering.
Oversees coordination of transporting equipment for Football away games.
Ensures Coaching Communication's system is set up on the field and the coaches box every game. Responsible for troubleshooting issues and finding quick resolutions in real time. Weekly testing of the Communications system and routine maintenance is required. Inventory management of all communications components (headphones, belt backs, cabling) and effective use and maintenance of all areas. Oversees interns, students, and volunteers who work athletic events.
Resolves complaints or problems that arise during events and activities sponsored by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics or the University.
Manages budget requirements for Football athletic equipment purchases.
Responsible for the physical set-up of equipment at events, including tracking and monitoring inventory of all Football equipment.
Develops and implements facility policies regarding safety, security, liability, maintenance, ADA, budget, and personnel.
Ensures the athletic department is in compliance with all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations, including the development and implementation of procedures by which compliance will be determined and documented.
Interprets and implements policies and procedures as they apply to an assigned area.
May recommend changes on policy and procedures as necessary.
May supervise lower level staff.
Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Director of Football Operations.Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Sr Associate Athletic Director Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations.
Oversee the logistics of transporting equipment to away games. This involves coordination with trucking company, loading, and offloading, as well as inventory management and correct placement for safe traveling.
Responsible for ensuring all equipment staff and equipment is set up prior to each home and away game, this will involve traveling / transporting employees ahead of the team to establish appropriate on field setup.
Performs essential duties during any emergencies, such as hurricanes, storms and/or any other University emergency closing. Is expected to be available to report to work as needed during University emergency closings with appropriate notification by department administrator.
Serves as an University card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University credit card policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
