The position reports to the Associate Athletic Director /Development. The Athletic Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the athletics development operations within the guidelines of the University, Conference and NCAA rules. The Athletic Development Coordinator assists the Associate Athletic Director/ Development in the following:
Supports the financial wellbeing of the department by identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors and prospective donors through both in-person and remote contact
Manages the department's annual fund drive through cultivation of new members and stewardship of current members
Responsible for structuring, implementing, coordinating and monitoring the corporate sponsorship program
Coordinates planning and hosting of special events and fundraisers including Panther Club events and activities
Coordinates courtesy car program
Keeps statistical and financial records including responsibility for budget management
Communicates effectively with established donor base
Cultivates and solicits gifts for annual, endowment, capital and sport specific initiatives
Works directly with all sports teams in meeting departmental and programmatic fundraising goals
Works with Associate AD/Development to maintain communication with University Advancement on current and future fundraising initiatives
Day-to-day oversight of Development Graduate Assistant and interns
Remains in compliance with University, OVC and NCAA rules and regulations
Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate AD/Development and the Director of Athletics.
Bachelor's degree required; Preferred experience and proven effectiveness in fundraising and development or related experience. Additional qualifications include possessing excellent organizational skills, personal skills and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus and the community. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
