The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Senior Associate Athletic Director, Facilities, Operations, and Capital Projects. This is a career, full-time position with a targeted salary range of $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. The Senior Associate Athletic Director, Facilities, Operations, and Capital Projects will provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the department’s athletic facilities, event operations, and capital project efforts. As a member of the department’s Executive Team, this position will work collaboratively with other staff in the department, on campus, within the conference, and nationally to provide world-class facilities and orchestrate events for student-athletes and the larger community. Position will work to provide leadership and advocacy for the student-athletes, coaches, and support staff while ensuring alignment with department and University policies, procedures, and values.

All applicants should demonstrate the following abilities and requirements: The Senior Associate Athletic Director, Facilities, Operations, and Capital Projects must have earned a bachelor’s degree and possess a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively growing experience in assigned competencies or a combination of relevant education and work experience; Significant experience managing capital projects, including the commissioning of new venues, within a University setting is preferred; Demonstrate a record of successful planning, budgeting, financial analysis and fiscal management, including skill in budget preparation, analysis and controlling costs of multiple, multi-million-dollar projects as well as daily tasks and annual operating budgets; Be skilled in managing and organizing personnel, equipment and material resources in order to provide the most efficient, inclusive, and safe working environment; Possess superior knowledge of and ability to comply with NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations as they apply to Intercollegiate Athletics and assigned areas; Proven skill and knowledge of management of a complex ongoing facility capital improvement program; Ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in assignments, deadlines, completing requirements, and workload; Have a proven track record of developing, maintaining and enhancing relationships with a wide variety of constituents including vendors, contractors, and community partners; Skill in organizing material, information, and people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort; Be able to analyze situations and systems, identify problems and implement objective, equitable, and fair solutions for all parties; Make decisions on immediate problems within prescribed scope of authority, based on knowledge of policies and procedures, including pertinent NCAA, University, and state rules and regulations; Possess general knowledge of financial, procurement, and personnel policies, principles and procedures in a central administrative University setting, as well as, general management principles; Utilize skills in hiring, educating, and training employees to perform a variety of tasks to create individual growth and efficient work environment; Employ excellent writing and oral communication skills to communicate effectively at a variety of levels including University executive management, officials of the NCAA and Conference, administrators, staff, and coaches; Have the ability to synthesize complex information, including legal and financial information, for presentation in a clear and comprehensive manner either in oral or visual presentations as needed; Exhibit strong leadership qualities at times under short time constraints and working conditions.
