Job Description Sun Devil Athletics seeks a Social Media Coordinator who, under general direction will provide oversight of department social media and assist with photography, design and motion graphics for Sun Devil Athletics. The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for aiding in oversite, managing and occasionally producing content for teams' official social media platforms. This position reports to the Assistant AD of Digital Media. Adheres to NCAA and Pac-12 rules and regulations, as well as policies and procedures of the department, the university, and the Arizona Board of Regents.

Essential Duties
Utilize digital platforms to create a deeper connection with the fan base through storytelling and visualizations.
Assist in management of sport specific social platforms.
Understand and analyze key metrics to inform content decisions and make changes when necessary.
Work closely with Media Relations, Marketing, Sponsorship, Game Entertainment, and ticketing staffs departments to constantly develop new ideas for organic, non-promotional social media content
Monitors and maintains the official ASU Athletics social media accounts which include: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Track the success of new initiatives by gathering input from various sources; applying statistics; implementing improvements; providing clear and concise quarterly reports to supervisors.
Work closely with Sponsorship team to ensure sponsored content is planned, created and released in a timely manner.
Provide analytics to all parties as requested and to supervisors on a regular basis.
Ability to work independently as well as on a team to achieve their goals.
Develop and produce predetermined & approved Sun Devil Athletic sponsor related content
Proactively produce content for all mediums independently as well as collaboratively
Optimize content for native social media consumption.
Help to conceptualize and produce content for all 26 varsity sports and Sun Devil Club for official department websites and social channels.
Conduct themselves and represents the department in a professional manner at all times.
Required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, IT, Finance, Marketing or related field and two years of related experience OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualificiations
Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience in meeting short deadlines and work in team-oriented, fast-paced environments.
Experience in being creative with a propensity to push the envelope to new and upcoming trends.
Experience in producing content from start to finish under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated knowledge of video codes and formats a plus.
Experience working flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
Experience in using organizational and time management skills.
Experience working with high profile coaches/athletes is an asset.
The aptitude to keep confidential and sensitive information close.
Evidence of a demonstrated winning, team-oriented, passionate attitude with a strong sense of urgency.
Evidence of a natural storyteller, with the ability to create engaging and thoughtful content via different mediums.
Demonstrated knowledge of Sun Devil Athletics is a plus.
Experience in producing motion graphics is a plus.
Experience in working as a team of both the digital staff and other units in the department.
Demonstrated knowledge of photography and video equipment a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot and recommend improvements in operations.
Working Environment
Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Ability to have flexible work schedule; may be required to work nights and weekends.
Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
May be required to travel on occasion.
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds.
Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.
