This is a two-year assistantship beginning in August 2023. The assistantship includes 18 hours of tuition and a monthly stipend of $882 gross pay (less taxes) per month for 10 months (August – May) during the academic year.

Indiana State University is accepting applications for an Athletics Digital Content Creation Graduate Assistant position beginning the 2023-2024 academic year. This position reports to the Associate Athletic Director of Communications/Digital Content and works closely with the Assistant Directors of Communication.
Work in conjunction with marketing and communications staff to help promote the Indiana State University athletics department using video and other digital media outlets. Make promotional videos, video feature stories, highlight reels and other such video material. Use social media and YouTube to effectively promote Indiana State Athletics across a wide variety of digital platforms. Assist in game day marketing efforts.
Job Duties: •Maintain in-house video production. •Create video content in the form of promotions, features, press conferences and other similar material; Create intro videos for sports with a video board. •Serve as videographer at as many home events possible, while also assisting marketing staff if needed. •Run athletics YouTube account and have access to other social platforms for video sharing. •Assist in marketing ideas and promotions. •Execute social media promotional strategies with the Director of Ticketing & Marketing including graphic design and social media distribution. •Supervise and instruct potential student workers both in the office and at events. •Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree (4 years); 1-2 years sports cinematography/video editing, media and/or public relations.

Acceptance into ISU graduate program
Expected work hours include evenings and weekends and some travel
Preferred experience in intercollegiate athletics media relations/sports information
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop) software
Experience in writing/editing and strong written/oral communication skills
