This position reports to the VP, Compliance, Ethics, and Risk and oversees a comprehensive athletics compliance program and management of the Athletics Compliance Office.

Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of an effective athletics compliance program including standard operating procedures, policies, and documentation to ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, university policies and procedures, and applicable laws.

Oversees, manages, develops, and hires athletics compliance staff, graduate assistants, and interns. Develops, implements, and maintains an effective comprehensive compliance education plan for coaches, student-athletes, Athletics staff, athletics boosters, and university personnel regarding NCAA, conference, and university policies and procedures. Implements and oversees monitoring efforts to evaluate compliance with NCAA, conference, and university policies and procedures. Recommends and ensures appropriate corrective actions are implemented as needed.

Responsible for investigating and reporting alleged violations of NCAA regulations to the VP, Compliance, Ethics, and Risk, VP and Athletics Director, NCAA, and other university personnel as appropriate.

Performs regulatory research and provides an interpretation of NCAA and conference requirements.

Manages and ensures the integrity of responses to information and documentation requests from the NCAA, conference, and internal and external auditors.

Oversees all compliance areas including amateurism, recruiting, financial aid, eligibility, extra benefits, and playing and practice seasons.

Develops and coordinates the university's sports agent registration process and acts as university liaison with sports agents. Provides oversight and monitors for compliance related to student-athlete: admission; initial / continuing eligibility certification; financial aid; housing; dining services; book distribution/return; vehicle registration; and exit interviews.

Manages and ensures the integrity of responses to information and documentation requests from the NCAA, conference, and internal and external auditors.

Works collaboratively, builds and maintains relationships with all levels of management within Athletics and across the university to coordinate compliance activities, accomplish objectives, provide support and guidance, and facilitate the resolution of problems as needed.

Serves as a senior member of the University Compliance, Ethics, and Risk Office and UCF Athletics providing support for institutional and departmental goals and objectives.

Represents the University of Central Florida and UCF Athletics Association to the Big 12 Conference, UCF community, Central Florida community, other schools, and the general public.

Responsible for appropriate policies and procedures applicable to compliance with NCAA and conference requirements.

Provide regulatory research, review, and interpretation as it applies to NCAA and conference rules and regulations.

Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 4+ years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 6+ years of relevant experience; plus at least 3+ years of leadership experience
