Assists in the process for NCAA waivers. Assists in the process for NCAA violation investigations and reporting.
Oversees all initial eligibility items related to the NCAA Eligibility Center inclusive of academic and amateurism certification. Review eligibility of incoming transfer student-athletes. Serve on certification committee for current student-athletes. Processes NCAA waivers regarding eligibility.
Assists in the oversight of the Athletics Compliance Office’s daily operations.
Assists in keeping track of new NCAA legislation and reporting of this information to Coaches, Staff, Student Athletes, and external groups affiliated with the Athletics department
Oversees NCAA compliance rules education to coaches, staff, student-athletes, boosters, and external groups; Conducts seminars and meetings and provides written communication dealing with NCAA rules and interpretations.
Monitors NCAA Bylaw 11, Conduct and Employment of Athletics Personnel. Provides new employee education regarding the applicable NCAA rules to the position.
Researches questions regarding NCAA regulations and provides application guidance to coaches and staff.
Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of experience at an NCAA Division I Institution. Relevant experience may substitute for the required education.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
The department is especially interested in candidates with NCAA Division I compliance experience.
The department desires candidates with a Master’s or Law degree.
