Duties: Athletics, Wellness and Recreation at SUNY New Paltz invites applications for the position of Associate Director. The Associate Director would join a dynamic and experienced team of professionals dedicated to student athletes and patrons of the campus and wider community. As a member of the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation this individual must abide by all NCAA, State University of New York Athletic Conference and University rules as well.
Duties for this positions include: • Serve as the Business Manager for the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation. • Serving as point person for department Title IX compliance officer • Oversee NCAA and SUNY compliance • Facilitate student-athlete academic programing; sports supervision for various sports and athletic coordinator • Help facilitate departmental fundraising activities • Assist with administrative oversight of event management • As a member of the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation this individual must abide by all NCAA, State University of New York Athletic Conference and University rules
Qualifications: Required:
Bachelor’s degree and at least four years’ experience in college administration
Demonstrated ability to establish good rapport and effective working relationships with student–athletes, coaches and staff.
Have NCAA compliance experience.
Ability to work weekends and observe a schedule that meets operational needs.
