Position Description Assistant in the planning and development of various daily business functions for various departments within the athletic organization. Salary $40,000- $45,000
Major/Essential Functions Assistant in the planning and development of various daily business functions for various departments within the athletic organization. The Assistant Director, Athletics Information Systems role is to develop, test, analyze, and maintain applications in support of athletics business requirements. This includes:
Coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.
Utilize data infrastructure and data analytics to develop and maintain Business Intelligence models.
Some management oversight may be expected for specific projects. This position is expected to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the following duties:
Performs systems analysis and develops programming.
Code defined in project plans to meet design specifications,
Customer requirements, and/or applies vendor-supplied upgrades. Completes application modifications to enhance functionality, adapt to technology changes, and correct application errors.
Adheres to all appropriate Institutional policies (including IT Ops) and other relevant internal departmental policies.
Manages and interacts with enterprise database systems, including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Server.
Develops Power BI Models related to sports and athletic department needs.
Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies.
Completes other programming tasks, as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.
Moderate knowledge and understanding of C#, ASP.NET, T-SQL, PL-SQL, and Data Warehouse
Moderate knowledge and understanding of intercollegiate athletics.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
Ability to: exercise judgment based on understanding organizational policies and activities.
Plan and organize effectively.
Prioritize goals, use time efficiently, and stay on task.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective work relationships.
