Graduate Assistant for Compliance (Spring or Fall 2024)
The position of Graduate Assistant for Compliance is responsible for directly assisting the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance with all aspects of administrative oversight, education, and monitoring of coaches, staff, and student-athletes as it pertains to NCAA rules and compliance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; monitor recruiting and practice logs; assist in oversight of student-athlete initial eligibility certification; perform data entry into NCAA and WIU databases; maintain organization and filing of NCAA, conference, and institutional documents; design, produce, and distribute rules education initiatives as needed; assist at home athletics events, and other duties as assigned. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours.
Graduate assistant positions include a monthly stipend plus tuition (employment is contingent upon proof of admission to the Graduate School). Graduate Assistant for Facilities, Events, and Game Operations (Spring or Fall 2024)
The position of Graduate Assistant for Facilities, Events, and Game Operations is responsible for directly assisting the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Game Operations and the Director of Equipment Operations and Facilities with the management of game day and athletics facilities operations. Duties include, but are not limited to; contacting and organizing game day staff, hosting visiting teams and officials, assisting in set-up and tear down of events, assisting with athletics facility scheduling, planning, maintenance and other duties as assigned. This position requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work flexible hours.

Graduate Assistant for Creative Design (Spring or Fall 2024)
The position of Graduate Assistant for Creative Design is responsible for directly assisting media relations and marketing with design, creation, development, and production of all multimedia projects. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to; producing, filming, and editing video content, including features, interviews, highlight packages, and commercials for the department website, social media, and video boards. This position is also responsible for the creation of department social media graphics, print materials, and other duties as assigned. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours.

Graduate Assistant Golf Coach (Fall 2024)
The Graduate Assistant Golf Coach reports to the Director of Golf and is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish the objectives of both the women's and men's golf programs within the guidelines of the NCAA, The Ohio Valley Conference, and the University. The graduate assistant coach will support by coaching student-athletics, recruiting, monitoring student athlete academic progress, scheduling, managing travel and scholarships and overseeing the discipline, conduct and image of the student-athlete.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in all aspects of the golf program that would include: course instruction, practice planning and preparation, recruitment of qualified student-athletes and scouting.
Monitor progress for the golf team's academic progress.
Assist with tournament planning for home tournaments.
Assist in managerial decision of scheduling, travel arrangements and supervision of student-athletes
Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head C
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required.
Candidate must be accepted into one WIU’s Graduate Programs:
Qualified candidates must show demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience as a college student-athlete competing in golf is required.
