WashU Medicine, one of Americaâ™s most prestigious academic medical institutions and biomedical research enterprises, seeks applicants for the newly created role of Assistant Vice Chancellor, Marketing Operations and Effectiveness (AVC). Reporting to the Chief Brand and Marketing Officer (CMO), you will build and lead our WashU Medicine Marketing Operations function. You will partner with the CMO, Brand, Creative, and Business leadership to help create the future of the Washington University Medicine brand with a critical focus on building out a new discipline with analytic tools to help WashU Medicine better understand marketing ROI and optimize the impact of our marketing investments. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Provide executive-level counsel and collaboration as a key operational partner.

Recruit, train, and develop high-performing staff.

15+ yearsâ™ experience developing digital and technical strategies that have driven measurable customer and stakeholder engagement and growth in support of business strategy.
Demonstrated experience leading marketing mix modeling analytic programs to inform marketing planning and optimization including:
Monitoring, measuring, and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and programs across the entire lifecycle of the funnel and corresponding marketing channel investments;
Leading efforts to define and implement frameworks for measuring, reporting, and analyzing marketing results including the business impact of campaigns and tactics;
Strong point of view of cross-channel campaign measurement program to assess the impact on brand health and reputation KPIs. This includes partnering closely with the PR/Communications team to include measures such as share of voice, brand impressions, and traditional media coverage.
Experience partnering with Corporate Strategy, Finance, Data and Analytics teams, and other Martech adjacent functions across the enterprise to define business requirements needed for advanced reporting and analytics and develop a Marketing Attribution model.
Demonstrated experience building and executing digital technical strategy across all channels (web tech, social, email, text, chat, virtual).
Proven skill in developing testing, tracking, and reporting methodology.Â
Extensive experience in the marketing technology space managing CRM, marketing automation platforms, and the full MarTech stack.
Deep hands-on experience with CRM technical concepts and tools, including relational databases, customer data platforms, analytic modeling, campaign management and automation, content management, and business intelligence systems.
Demonstrated experience building multi-disciplined marketing teams, and an atmosphere that fosters connection and collaboration. Adept at building and fostering cross-organization relationships. Noted leader and builder.
Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess a bachelorâ™s degree in a relevant discipline and at least 10 yearsâ™ experience or a combination of education and experience. â‹
Base pay is commensurate with experience.The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
