Job Description:
The Assistant Vice President will provide management, leadership, coordination and support for Center for BrainHealth™ (BrainHealth), which is a campus-wide resource that sits squarely at the intersections of innovative research discovery, translations that are already benefitting our world, traditional academics with training of future brain health experts who span all schools (e.g., Business, Economics, Engineering, Math Computer Science, Communications, Education, Arts Humanities and Technology, and Cognitive Neuroscience), and actionable interventions that can be delivered directly or via strategic partnerships and other traditional and non-traditional commercialization vehicles.
This position will work with BrainHealth and UTD teams supporting and enhancing UT Dallas' exemplary brand identity with the strong brand value attributed to the BrainHealth® and Brainomics® trademarks that provide additional paths for UTD to distinguish itself as a premier academic research institution helping to ensure the production and management of a united and consistent image across all segments of BrainHealth's media channels and those that intersect with the University's media channels, as well as with affiliated investigators and collaborators from across the United States and across the globe.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study with ten years of related professional work experience and 3 or more years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
10+ years of experience in a variety of non-profit and commercial settings is critical to this executive role given the fact that BrainHealth is in a unique and ideal setting within the UTD ecosystem to apply proven new advancements, offering a rich and truly interdisciplinary environment representing diverse areas of expertise, leading in both framing and answering the questions faced by business and healthcare professional, policy makers, and the public, working directly with industry, government agencies, and public and private schools across Texas and the nation, and developing and mentoring creativity and innovative thinking across the lifespan.
