The Counselor Therapist at Cornell Health's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) embedded in Athletics and Physical Education (A&PE) serves as a member of a multidisciplinary service team with primary responsibility for ameliorating mental health conditions and related issues typically experienced by student-athletes engaged in competitive intercollegiate sports at the NCAA Division I level. The A&PE embedded clinical provider reports directly to the Assistant Director of Counseling and Psychological Services and maintains a close collaborative relationship with the Senior Deputy Director of Athletics for the Student-Athlete Experience in A&PE.
