Position Overview:
Holstein Parts is seeking a results-driven and strategic National Sales Manager to lead our sales initiatives within the competitive and dynamic automotive aftermarket sector. As the National Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and enhancing the overall presence of the Holstein Parts brand.
In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies that align with our company's objectives. You will work closely with a network of independent manufacturer’s representatives, providing direction and support to ensure their efforts are aligned with our sales goals. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels will be critical to your and the company’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through consistent communication, collaborative sales efforts, and effective follow-up. Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, addressing concerns, providing solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Coordination: Collaborate closely with independent manufacturer’s rep agencies to drive growth with existing customers and acquire new clients. Ensure that all sales efforts are aligned to maximize revenue opportunities. Provide ongoing support and guidance to reps, ensuring their strategies align with the company's sales objectives.
Market Awareness: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to understand competitive dynamics, pricing structures, and emerging trends. Use these insights to adjust sales strategies and stay ahead in the market. Regularly monitor industry developments to identify new opportunities for growth.
Training & Development: Contribute to the creation and execution of effective sales strategies and tools. Identify new product opportunities and support the development of training programs for sales reps to ensure they are equipped to meet annual sales goals.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Sales Experience: Proven success in sales or account management within the automotive aftermarket, with a strong track record of exceeding targets and building lasting client relationships.
Travel Requirements: Travel approximately 60% of the time across the U.S. and Canada for client meetings, trade shows, and marketing events. Represent the company at industry events to build brand awareness and establish new relationships. Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport. Willingness to travel extensively and manage time efficiently while on the road.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and CRM systems (especially Salesforce.com). Experience with remote training platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams is preferred. Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights to inform sales strategies.
Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and navigate complex sales negotiations.
Leadership and Team Motivation: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. Experience in mentoring and developing sales talent.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field is desirable. However, significant relevant experience in sales management, particularly within the automotive aftermarket, can be considered in lieu of a formal educational degree.
