The Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development provides senior leadership, management, strategic planning, and oversight of its fundraising operations for the CSU Department of Athletics in the areas of philanthropy, development, and major gifts. Employee is responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive strategy to promote and optimize financial support on local, regional, and national levels for CSU Athletics and its 16 NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics programs.

Bachelor’s Degree in communications, sports management, business, marketing, management, liberal arts, sociology, public relations or any other field related to duties and responsibilities.
Minimum of five years of progressive fund-raising/development experience with a proven record of success in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding special or major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations.
Demonstrated skill in developing and attaining fundraising goals.
Experience with hiring, leading, and motivating a staff of highly qualified and specialized individuals.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully with internal and external constituencies.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Previous development or fundraising experience in intercollegiate athletics.
Demonstrate a continuous high level of initiative, creativity and energy.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritize projects and duties; assign responsibilities; meet deadlines; and deliver results.
Knowledge of appropriate NCAA rules and regulations and a commitment to conduct all activities in compliance with NCAA, conference, and Colorado State University rules and regulations.
Ability to act responsibly and ethically within the parameters of institutional control.
Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date
